The definition of “wages” has been revised (Section 2(88)), ESI coverage is expected to extend to additional employees who may have been excluded earlier. Employers should review employee eligibility, complete ESIC registration (where applicable), and ensure timely compliance so eligible employees can avail ESIC benefits.
